<New preventive, screening test for the diagnosis of cancer from human blood serum or plasma>

 

(1) Depletion of high abundance proteins

High abundance proteins interfere with the identification and qualitification of low abundance proteins to develop disease biomarkers in human blood serum or plasma.


(2) Proteomic analysis 

Proteomics to identify protein biomarkers which distinguish cancer from non-cancer : Due to tissue leakage, protein biomarker can be detected in the blood serum from cancer patients.


 

(3) Clinical screening trial

Clinical screening trial for the early detection of cancer using selected biomarker with high sensitivity and high specificity.


<Development of the new drugs for the treatment of lung cancer>


In the lung and brain, excess of ROS makes oxidative damage as it uses lots oxygen to produce energy. Antioxidants as  target molecules highlight a very promising new diagnostic and therapeutic approaches for the development of the new drugs for the treatment of Alzheimer and cancer. Alzheimer and cancer share  some points in that oxidative stress such ROS  increases the risk of Alzheimer and cancer development and progression

In an attempt to develop new drugs for cancer treatment, we focus on understanding body defenses mechanism to protect peoples from these stressful conditions at the molecular levels.

Supported by biomarker technologies, we aim to identify oxidative stress-mediated changes of extracellular-matrix for the development of diagnostics and therapeutics of lung cancer drug.

Cancer immunotherapeutic drug targeting abnormal, oxidative stress-induced extracellular-matrix in the lung cancer tissues is also a potential cancer therapy for the treatment of lung cancer patients.
